Anything Goes - As the name suggests, this is for all the things we'd like to try but haven't had the chance to yet. Any member can organise an event by contacting the Social Secretary.
Coffee Morning - Open to everyone, no reservation needed. We meet at the Hofgarten restaurant every Tuesday from 10 - 11:30 am. A great way to get introduced to members and activities.
English Book Club - The English Book Club meets on the third Monday of every month to discuss a work of either fiction or non-fiction in English which has been proposed to the group by the member who will then leads the discussion on it. We choose the books for the following year at a special meeting in December. About ten of us of varying nationalities (including of course non-native English speakers) meet between 2:00 and 4:00 pm to have a lively exchange of views. Anyone is welcome to join. If you want to see what our meetings are like, please come along one afternoon.
Bridge Club - Meets every Wednesday afternoon. All members are welcome to join for lunch before the game.
Photography Club - Interested in capturing that perfect moment right in front of your eyes? Do you want to learn how to use the various features of your camera? We meet on an ad hoc basis - come join us to learn more about photography in an interactive setting.
German Conversation - On ZOOM, practice or improve your German conversation skills in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere every Thursday morning.
Cultural Events are organised once a month as museum tours, historic town visits, concerts, etc.
Shibashi QiGong - On ZOOM, a 20 minute, early morning, exercise regimen that follows the 18 movements of this art.
Cooking with Friends - Ad hoc events - Gastronomes, gourmets, oenophiles, and those of us who just like the good life are welcome to attend these events.
TED Talks+ - The discussion group meets once a month, covering topics gathered from media like podcasts and videos.
Catch Up! (With Tasks and Each Other) - Twice a month allowing you to spend time together simply concentrating on a project that you wish to start, continue or complete, be it sewing, sketching, writing, ironing, whatever...then have a little social time to chat and have a drink afterwards.
MahJong - Mahjong originated from China and is usually played by 4 players using a set of 144 'tiles'. It is similar to the Western game of rummy and involves skill, strategy, calculation and a degree of chance.
Running/Power Walking Group - We meet every Monday morning, to enjoy some recreation. Dogs are welcome.
Scrabble - A fun game of word tiles that everyone knows. Helps to expand the brain and has a competitive edge.
Wine O'Clock - An hour and a half on a Thursday evening to enjoy a drink and catch up.
Luncheons - Occasionally held at different restaurants in the Luzern area. The Bridge Club invites all members to join them for lunch each week before the game starts.
Christmas Caroling Group - Whether you are trained in Opera, or just like to sing in the shower...you can now share your voice with others on a very casual level.
Rotsee Walking Group - Meet Monday mornings to walk around the Rotsee.
