The Club was founded in 1979 and the membership consists of more than 90 women from 20 different nationalities living in and around Lucerne. The Club's common language is English.


The principal aim of the Club is to bring women together from all nationalities and walks of life. It is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit organisation.

Open to English-speaking women of all nationalities, the IWCL is an organization that provides opportunities for women to come together. With a wide range of activities, we aim to provide an environment that nurtures friendship and personal growth through shared experiences. The IWCL promotes cultural diversity while encouraging local integration.
